Cookies | small blocks of data created by a web server while a user is browsing a website and placed on the user's computer or other device by the user's web browser |
GeoLocation | he process or technique of identifying the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet. |
Metadata | a set of data that describes and gives information about other data. |
Data | information that has been translated into a form that is efficient for movement or processing |
Spreadsheet | computer program that can capture, display and manipulate data arranged in rows and columns |
Browser History | the list of web pages a user has visited |
Digital Literacy | individual's ability to find, evaluate, and communicate information by utilizing typing or digital media platforms |
Blog | website designed to make it easy for users to create entries in chronological order |
Dossier | a file containing detailed records on a particular person or subject |
Derogatory | detracting from the character or standing of something |
Social Networking | the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself. |
Viral | an image, video, advertisement, etc., that is circulated rapidly on the internet. |
Profile | collection of settings and information associated with a user, contains critical information that is used to identify an individual, such as their name, age, and portrait photograph |
Privacy settings | the part of a social networking website, internet browser, piece of software, etc. that allows you to control who sees information about you |
