Formula for converting between Celsius and Fahrenheit | 5f = 9C + 160 |
Class 1 medication recall | Most serious recall. A medication product is being recalled because there is a strong chance of serious adverse effects or death to the patient |
Class 2 medication recall | A medication product is being recalled because there is a temporary (but reversible) chance of adverse effect or little chance of serious adverse effect |
Class 3 medication recall | A medication product is being recalled because of a problem that is not likely to cause adverse effects |
intake area | Designated location where patients can leave prescriptions. Keep the intake area clean, uncluttered, and structured to facilitate a positive first impression |
processing area | Data entry, RX processing, verification area. also contains equipment, distilled water, compounding or repackaging equipment, Scales, calculators, containers and labels |
Processed Prescriptions area | Stores completed RXs until patient pick-up. Only after RXs have been verified are RXs allowed in this area |
Out window | Rx pick up location. POS registers are located here for verified RXs |
Reorder Points (ROP) | A set minimum stock level in which a medication should be reordered |
Reorder Quantities (ROQ) | identifies how much of the medication should be ordered |
Technician responsibilities when ordering RXs | -Review orders and edit prn - fill out DEA-222 for all C-2 control+authorized pharmacist sign -Inspect fast movers and emergency med shelves for stock levels -Notify Pharmacist of back ordered or discontinued items -Print submitted orders |
Technician responsibilities when receiving RXs | -Verify supplier name, address + quantity of the order -Inspect shipments for damage and note all observations -check that shipments match details on purchase order -Sign/date invoice -check expiration dates |
Technician responsivities when stocking RXS | -check expiration dates + stock using first in first out -Inspect products 4 anything unusual -identify/communicate RX patterns to coworkers responsible for purchasing -use ROP/ROQ to reorder products -examine stock for damaged/recalled products |
