Control center Receives information from receptor (hypothalamus is CC of body)
Effector Responds to control centers response
Negative feedback Stimulus causes receptor to send information to CC producing a response that eliminates the original stimulus. (Ex. When you are running, your temp increases, and the sweat glands activating, lowering the temp back down)
Positive feedback Stimulus causes receptor to send information to CC producing a response that enhances the original stimulus. (Ex. blood clotting; when more chemicals are produced, more clotting happens to cover injury)
