Amoxicillin ANTIBIOTIC Used for resistant infection.
Insulin Lispro DIABETIC DRUG Insulin, rapid acting, short term. Take w/in 10-20 minutes of meal.
Adalimumab ANTIARTHRITIC/IMMUNOSUPRESSIVE Rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis, spondylitis, crohns. Expensive! Risk of serious infection.
Thyroxine THYROID For hypothyroidism. Releases T3 & T4.
Hydrocortisone Topical for itching/inflammation.
Prednisone STEROID Maintenance therapy for asthma & autoimmune disorders.
Aspirin NSAID Pain, fever, inflammation. Antiplatelet- increase risk for bleeds!
Ibuprofen NSAID Anti-inflalmmatory
Diclofenac NSAID Pain reliever
Meloxicam NSAID Used for musculoskeletal pain/injury.
Acetominophen ANALGESIC Good for pain & fever- NOT inflmmation!
Allopurinol URIC ACID REDUCER Drug for gout.
Estrogen HORMONE Used w/ progestins for birth control. Used alone in menopause. Watch for blood clots.
Progestins Used in birth controls. SE: weight gain, irregular periods
Growth Hormone For children who do not meet growth bench marks, Used in elderly with osteoporosis.
Vancomycin ANTIBIOTIC Used for severe infections (C. diff) Trough levels need to be monitored for tocxicity.
Tetracycline/Minocycline ANTIBIOTIC Used if pt has penicillin allergy. Treats acne, chlamydia, diarrhea... Do NOT take w/ antacids- drug will not be absorbed.
Isoniazid ANTITUBERCULITIC Treats TB.
Piperacillin/Tazobactam Treats pneumonia.
Amoxicillin/Clavulanate ANTIBIOTIC Used for resistant infection.
Amphotericin B ANTIFUNGAL
Acyclovir ANTIVIRAL Manages HSV & Herpes zoster
Azithromycin ANTIBIOTIC Can cause cardiac irregularities & diarrhea.
Ciprofloxacin ANTIBIOTIC Used for lower respiratory tract, skin infections, & UTIs.
Metronidazole ANTIPARASITIC Used for trichomoniasis, giardiasis...
Mebendazole ANTIPARASITIC Used for pinworms, roundworms.
Canagliflozin DIABETIC DRUG Increases urine excretion. SE: yeast infection, genital gangrene
Exanatide DIABETIC DRUG Injectable that slows gastric emptying.
Levothyroxine THYROID DRUG Used for hypothyroidism. Life long therapy.
Propylthiouracil THYROID DRUG Used for hyperthyroidism.
Methimazole THYROID DRUG Used for hyperthyroidism.
I131 THYROID DRUG Destroys thyroid.
Empagliflozin DIABETIC DRUG Increases urine excretion of glucose.
Insulin Aspart Rapid acting. Should be used w/ intermediate or long acting insulin. SubQ.
Insulin Glargine Long acting insulin. SUbQ. Do NOT give IV or mix w/ other insulin.
Regular Insulin SubQ, rotate sites. DO NOT SHAKE & protect from extreme temps.
NPH Insulin Cloudy. Draw up SA then NPH.
Metformin DIABETIC DRUG Oral drug for Type II. Reduces GI absorbance of glucose.
Dopamine Used for shock. Good renal flow. Increase HR & BP.
Doxazosin Used for BPH. Increases urinary flow. Decreases BP (HTN).
L-Dopa/Carbidopa Used for Alzheimers/Parkinson's.
Cevemiline Used to treat dry mouth in Sjogrens. Do NOT use in asthma.
Metoprolol Used for HTN. Decreases bronchospasm.
Scopolamine Used for motion sickness/preanesthetic. Patch behind ear.
Tolteridine Helps with urinary incontinence.
Memantine Used for moderate to severe Alzheimers/Dementia. Combined with donepezil.
Pramipexole Used for Parkinson's.
Oxycodone Pain med/opioid. DO NOT crush or break.
Fentanyl Pain med. Pre-op.
Valporic Acid Seizure drug. SE: tremor, sedation, GI upset
Zolpidem Sedative. Used for anxiety, sedation, sleep.
Clozapine Antipsychotic. Used for Schizophrenia.
Haloperidol Used for psychosis and tourettes.
Sertraline Used for depression, anxiety, OCD
Phenelzine Antidepressant.
Amitriptyline Antidepressant.
Lithium Bipolar drug
Gabapentin Seizures, pain, migraines, peripheral neuropathies.

Valsartan HF drug. Decreases BP
Rosuvastatin Lipid management (cholesterol drug) NOT safe in pregnancy.

Rivaroxaban Prevents clots
Atenolol HTN drug. Decreased work of the heart.
Nirtoglycerine Used for angina. Vasodilator.
Clopidogrel Drug to prevent clots. Decreased platelet aggregation.
Lisinopril HF drug Used for HF & HTN
Fenofibrate Lipid management (cholesterol)
Digoxin HF drug
Apixaban Used for clots, prevent stroke
Tenecteplase Prevents clots, MI, stroke
Iron Used in iron deficiency.
Prednisone Respiratory drug
Furosemide Diuretic for HF
Tiotropium Anticholinergic. Long acting inhaled drug for COPD.
