Xanax, alprazolam Schedule: C4 Class: benzodiazepines Indication: Enhances activity of certain neurotransmitters in the brain. Treats anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and anxiety caused by depression.
Suboxone, buprenorphine/naloxone Schedule: C3 Class: Narcotic analgesic combo Indication: Combination of a narcotic and a drug that blocks the effects of opioids. Easily abused, treats opioid addiction.
Strattera, atomoxetine Class: Adrenergic uptake inhibitor (ADHD) Indication: Affects chemicals in the brain and nerves that contribute to hyper activity and helps control impulses, treats ADHD.
Provigil, modafinil Schedule: C4 Class: CNS stimulant Indication: Promotes wakefulness. Alerts neurotransmitters, treats sleep apnea, narcolepsy, or shift work disorder.
Valium, diazepam Schedule: C4 Class: Benzodiazepine anticonvulsant Indication: Enhances neurotransmitters activity, treats anxiety or alcohol with drawl. Sometimes used with other meds to treat muscle spasms, or seizures.
Aricept, donepezil Class: Cholinesterase inhibitor Indication: Prevents acetylcholine breakdown. Treats dementia caused by Alzheimer's. Not a cure, the condition will progress.
Cymbalta, duloxetine Class: SSNRI Indication: Affects chemicals that may be unbalanced in people w/ depression. Treats depression and anxiety, can treat nerve pain caused by diabetes or chronic joint pain caused by fibromyalgia.
Ativan, lorazepam Schedule: C4 Class: benzodiazepine anticonvulsant Indication: Treats anxiety, enhances certain neurotransmitters in the brain.
Seroquel, quetiapine Class: Antipsychotic Indication: Changes actions of chemicals in the brain. Treats schizophrenia, BPD, an canny be used with antidepressants to treat major depressive disorder in adults.
