What are the functions of connective tissue? Connective tissue connects, supports, transports, and defends.
What are the two primary layers of the skin? Epidermis and Dermis
What are the structures of the long bone? Diaphysis, Epiphyses, Articular Cartilage, Periosteum, Medullary Cavity, Endosteum
The occipital bone creates the framework for what? Lower, posterior part of the skull
Upper extremities, or the upper limb consists of what? The upper extremity—also called the upper limb—consists of the bones of the shoulder girdle, upper part of the arm, forearm, wrist, and hand
What is a prime mover? The movement produced by a muscle acting as a prime mover is described as the “action” or “function” of that muscle.
What are the lower extremity muscles? The muscles of the lower extremity include those acting on the hip or pelvic girdle, as well as muscles located in the thigh, leg, and foot.
