deciduous trees having leaves that fall off or shed seasonally
taiga subarctic forest dominated by conifer trees
habitat the place or environment where a plant or animal naturally lives or grows
habitat alteration the results of changing a habitat
native species a species that originates in a particular space
non-native species a species living or growing in a place that is not the location of its natural occurrence
overharvesting to harvest something to an excessive or harmful extent
ecosystem balance stability within an ecosystem
mitigation making something less severe or damaging
