Digital Footprint | The information about a particular person that exists on the internet as a result of their online activity |
Cookies | A piece of data from a website that is stored within a web browser that the website can retrieve at a later time |
Geolocation | The process or technique of identifying the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet |
Metadata | A set of data that describes and gives information about other data |
Data | Information that has been translated into a form that is efficient for movement or processing |
Spreadsheet | An electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations |
Browser History | A record of web pages recently visited by a computer user |
Digital Literacy | Having the skills you need to live, learn, and work in a society where communication and access to information is increasingly through digital technologies |
Blog | A regularly updated website or web page |
Dossier | A collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject. |
Derogatory | Showing a critical or disrespectful attitude |
Social Networking | A network of social interactions and personal relationships |
Viral | The use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself |
Profile | A file or group of files stored on a user |
Privacy Settings | The settings associated with a personal account that regulates the amount of information that the account holder makes publicly available |
