What’s the difference between soft skills and hard skills? Soft skills is are the personal qualities that help employees really thrive in the workplace. Hard skills refer to the job-related knowledge and abilities that employees need to perform their job duties effectively.
What are four questions you could ask a hiring manager during an interview? What is the overall purpose of the position? How do you evaluate the performance of the person in this position? What is the typical career path for someone hired into this role? What is the history of this position? Why is this position being created?
What are the three identifying factors that need to intersect to find your sweet spot? The convergence of passion, talent, and values. Regardless of who you are or where you are in your career, these are the three critical elements of a “sweet spot.”
Give three examples of experiences that can get you in close proximity to your dream job. Internships, meetings with mentors, and volunteering.
How can a mentor help you along the journey to your dream job? What qualifies someone as a mentor? A good mentor will be empathetic and kind. They can teach you things about your dream job.
What are some of the factors that help you identify your personal brand? What do you want YOUR personal brand to be? Authenticity, package consistency, your story, Expertise, Visibility, and Value proposition. And, Connections.
What is your current dream job? Explain why and how it fits with your talents, values, and passions. I want to become an artist, it fits with my talents because I can draw on my own without teaching, I self-taught myself and it wasn’t very hard..drawing makes me happy!
