Muscle Relaxants & Antispasmodics Side Effects -Risk of seizures; do not give to pt with history of seizures (Baclofen) -Hepatic toxicity (Tizanidine and Dantrolene)
Corticosteroids Prednisone Methylprednisolone
Corticosteroid Side Effects -Long term use risk for bone loss and system infection -Peptic ulcer disease (GI bleeding, black tarry stools) -Edema -Weight gain -F & E disturbances -Myopathy
Anticholinergic Nursing Considerations -Increase fluids, bulk foods and exercise -Taper before discontinuation -Orthostatic hypotension precautions
