How were slaves treated in Africa? Africans were first taken through kidnapping and were sent to markets in Arabia, Persia, and Iraq by traders. After they were bought by wealthy people to do domestic tasks.
What was the Portugueses conquest? To conquer cities and take over trade.
Who was the group of people to start the city of Great Zimbabwe? The Shona people.
What did the Portuguese do when they failed to conquer the empire? They started to meddle in Mutapa politics.
What was the mwenmenutapoa? The title of respect for the ruler.
What were the Shona people forced to do when Mutota took over? They were forced to pay to support the army and Mutota.
Who was the person to govern most cities? The Muslim sultan.
