What is the cerebral cortex the centre of? conscious thought
Other than conscious thought, what does the cerebral cortex do? It also recalls memories and alters behaviour in the light of experience.
What 3 areas are found in the cerebral cortex? It contains sensory areas, motor areas and association areas.
What are association areas involved in? association areas involved in language processing, personality, imagination and intelligence.
What does The left cerebral hemisphere deals with? information from the right visual field and controls the right side of the body
If information from the right side of the body is detected, which side of the brain is it processed in? The left (Information from one side of the body is processed in the opposite side of the cerebrum)
What is the function of the corpus collosum? To transfer nerve impulses between the right and left hemisphere so allow either side to communicate with one another.
Describe the function of the cerebral cortex? The cerebral cortex is the centre of conscious thought; it also recalls memories and alters behaviour in the light of experience.
