"They hailed him father to a line of kings. Upon my head they placed a fruitless crown, And put a barren scepter in my gripe..." Macbeth expresses his fears about Banquo in a solilioquy
"Thou canst not say I did it. Never shake, Thy gory locks at me." Macbeth says this to Banquo's ghost.
"Thou hast it now: King, Cawdor, Glamis, all, As the weird women promised, and I fear Thou play'dst most foully for't" Banquo is speaking in a soliloquy. He realizes all of the witches prophecies have come true.
"This is the very painting of your fear...When all's done, you look on but a stool." Lady Macbeth is speaking to Macbeth. She feels all of his visions happen because he is so fearful.
What does a "fruitless crown" mean? There is not a child to inherit it.
What does Macbeth say his mind is full of? Scorpions
The murderers are to kill Fleance and Banquo. Which murder is unsuccessful? Fleance; he runs away.
