What are the four abdominal muscles? internal oblique, external oblique, transverse abdominis, and rectus abdominis
axial region consists of... head, neck, chest, and trunk
appendicular region consists of... the limbs and appendages that connect to the axial portion of the body
layers of the epidermis stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum
what are the 3 layers of skin? epidermis, dermis, and the hypodermis (subcutaneous layer of fat)
what does pH measure? measure of how acidic/basic water is. Range 0 - 14, 7 being neutral. Less than 7 acidity, greater than 7 base.
what is the prime mover of inhalation (inspiration) in breathing? diaphram
what are the different shapes of bones? long, short, flat, irregular, and sesamoid
what does red bone marrow consist of? red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets
what minerals are stored in our bones? calcium and phosphorous
