What are the mixed cranial nerves? Trigeminal (CN V), Facial (CN VII), Glossopharyngeal (CN IX), and Vagus (CN X)
Function: smell Olfactory (CN I)

It lifts upper eyelid; turns eyeball upward, downward, and medially; constricts pupil and accommodates eye Oculomotor (CN III)
Cranial nerve/s in superior orbital fissure Oculomotor (CN III), Trochlear (CN IV), Trigeminal (CN V); Ophthalmic division, and Abducent (CN VI)
Cornea, skin if forehead, scalp, eyelids, and nose; also mucous membrane of paranasal sinuses and nasal cavity Trigeminal (CN V); Ophthalmic division
Assists in turning eyeball downward and laterally Trochlear (CN IV)
Skin of face over maxilla and upper lip, teeth of upper jaw, maxillary air sinus, palate Trigeminal (CN V); Maxillary division

It assists in swallowing, general sensation, and taste from posterior 3rd o tongue and pharynx Glossopharyngeal (CN IX)

Constrictor muscles of pharynx and intrinsic muscles of larynx, involuntary muscles of trachea and bronchi, heart, alimentary tract, liver and pancreas, taste from epiglottis and afferent fibers of structures aforementioned Vagus (CN X)
Cranial nerve in jugular foramen Vagus (CN X)
Cranial root: muscles of soft palate, pharynx, and larynx Spinal root: SCM and Trapezius muscles Accessory (CN XI)
