Gen William Hull and Detroit 1st battle of the war led by Gen Hull. Met Tecumseh and his warriors. Fearing a massacre he retreated from the battle and surrendered Detroit.
Oliver Hazard Perry and Lake Erie Commander of the forces in Lake Erie he defeats the British forcing their retreat out of Detroit abandoning the native forces.
Battle of the Thames On October 5th Tecumseh if killed in battle and ends all hopes of a native confederacy
frigates warships
privateers armed private ships that volunteered to fight in the US Navy
Andrew Jackson and Horseshoe Bend Brutal defeat of the Creek nation by Andrew Jackson... over 550+ natives are killed. hey surrendered most of their lands to the US Government.
Francis Scott Key Saw the bombardment of Baltimore by England and wrote the Star Spangled Banner
Lake Champlain After this battle England decided to abandoned the war with America siting being too costly and unnecessary.
Treaty of Ghent Ended the war with America. Nothing was gained or exchanged. England just agreed to remove all their soldiers.
Battle of New Orleans Last major battle of the war that took place after the treaty. Major victory... over 2000 British causalities. Had this battle not been won England was not going to honor the treaty.
