Digital Footprint | A trail of data you create while using the Internet. |
Cookies | are text files with small pieces of data like a username and password — that are used to identify your computer as you use a computer network. |
Geolocation | the process or technique of identifying the geographical location of a person or device by means of digital information processed via the internet. |
MetaData | a set of data that describes and gives information about other data. |
Data | Stored and transmitted in the form of electrical signals and recorded on a computer being formed and transmitted into electrical signals |
Spreadsheets | an electronic document in which data is arranged in the rows and columns of a grid and can be manipulated and used in calculations. |
Browser History | A history which you can accesss and is used to see your websites you visited in the past. |
Digital Literacy | the ability to use information and communication technologies to find, evaluate, create, and communicate information, requiring both cognitive and technical skills. |
Blog | a regularly updated website or web page, typically one run by an individual or small group, that is written in an informal or conversational style. |
Dossier | a collection of documents about a particular person, event, or subject. |
Derogatory | showing a critical or disrespectful attitude. |
Social Networking | the use of dedicated websites and applications to interact with other users, or to find people with similar interests to oneself. |
Viral | When a picture or video gets a lot of view and recognition and you start to go famous. |
Profile | a short article giving a description of a person or organization. |
Privacy settings | are controls available on many social networking and other websites that allow users to limit who can access your profile and what information visitors can see. |
