Observation Use of senses to describe what is happening in the experiment
Inference Statement made based on observations but it is not necessarily true
Qualitative Subjective observations that can change from person to person
Quantitative Objective observations that will not change (measurements/numbers)
Variable Parts of the experiment that change
Constant Parts of the experiment that do not change
Independent variable Part of the experiment that I manipulate the change (I make it to change)
Dependent variable Part of the experiment that is the response to the change it was made
Experimentation Meaning to try (do many times) and it contains the control set up and the experimental set up
Problem the form of a question about things that can be test not like feelings or beliefs
