Point Location for the Spleen Meridian of the Foot-Taiyin

QuestionAnswer
On the medial side of the big toe, 0.1 cun posterior to the corner of the nail SP-1
On the medial side of the big toe, distal and inferior to the first metatarsodigital joint, in the depression of the junction of the dark and light skin. SP-2
Proximal and inferior to the 1st metatarsophalangeal joint, in the depression of the junction of the dark and light skin. SP-3
In the depression distal and inferior to the base of the 1st metatarsal bone, at the junction of the dark and light skin. SP-4
In the depression distal and inferior to the medial malleolus, midway between the tuberosity of the navicular bone and the tip of the medial malleolus. SP-5
(Draw line from m.m. to SP-9) This point is 3 cun directly above the tip of the media malleolus, posterior to the medial border of the tibia. SP-6
(Draw line from m.m. to SP-9) This point is 6 cun above the tip of the medial malleous, on the line connecting the tip of the m.m. and SP-9, posterior to the medial border of the tibia. SP-7
(Draw line from m.m. to SP-9) This point in 3 cun below SP-9, on the line connecting SP-9 and the medial malleolus. SP-8
On the lower border of the medial condyle of the tibia, in the depression posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the tibia. SP-9
When the knee is flexed, the point is 2 cun above the mediosuperior border of the patella, on the bulge of the medial portion of m. quadriceps femoris. SP-10
1.3 (!!) cun below SP-15, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline, on the lateral side of m. rectus abdominis. SP-14
4 cun lateral to the center of the umbilicus, later to m. rectus abdominis. SP-15
On the lateral side of the chest and on the mid-axillary line, in the SIXTH intercostal space. (KT says to have person raise arms and then follow floating rib fm front to side. Remember nipple is 4th ICS.) SP-21
