landform a feature that forms on the surface of a planet, such as a mountain, channel, or sand dune
model an object, diagram, or computer program that helps us understand something by making it simpler or easier to see
planetary geologist a scientist who studies the geospheres of planets in our solar system
reasoning the process of making clear how your evidence supports your claim
rocky planet any planet with a solid surface, such as Earth or Mars
scientific argument a claim supported by evidence
system a set of interacting parts forming a complex whole
Phenomenon an unusual, observable event
Olympus Mons the largest volcano in the solar system
Mariner Valley The largest canyon in the solar system
Perseverance The most recent Mars Rover which landed in 2021.
Ingenuity The rotocopter that is part of the Perseverance Martian rover
Sojourner The very first NASA Mars rover that landed on July 4, 1997.
Opportunity The Mars rover that landed in 2004. Its planned mission was 90 days, but it lasted almost 15 years.
Curiosity The Mars rover that landed in 2012. It is still in operation today.
