State the hypothesis of continental drift. All the continents had once been together as one landmass and has since been drifting apart.
Why did most scientists reject Wegener's theory for nearly half a century? He could not give an explanation for the force that pushes/pulls the continents.
What were all the continents once joined together as? The continents were once joined together as the super-continent Pangaea.
What does 'Pangaea' mean? "all lands"
What's a fossil? Any trace of an ancient organism that has been preserved in rock.
What is continental drift? Wegener's theory that the continents slowly move over Earth's surface.
