backstage view | the backstage view is a screen that appears when you click the file tab in word for file management |
block style | a format of text aligned on the left margin that includes putting the date |
command | an instruction based on actions done in word |
dialog box | displays of additional information that you can use to execute a command |
dialog box launcher | a small arrow in the lower right corner of the group |
groups | tabs with several collections relating to word commands |
I-beam | the insertion point helps change the I for the I-beam |
insertion point | in the upper left corner of the document is where you can start to create your text |
menu | a list of options |
mixed punctuation | with mixed punctuation when the text comes to an ending a colon or comma is placed |
non - printing characters | symbols used for formatting commands such as putting spaces between words |
open punctuation | when the text is finished or comes to a closing there is no needed punctuation |
preview | the look before hand before you print or continue on |
