Backstage View a tool that offers quick access to commands under the file tab
Block Style This format aligns text along the left margin
Command An instruction based on an action that you preform in W by clicking a button or entering information into the command box
Dialog Box Displays additional options or information you can use to execute a command
Dialog Box Launcher A small arrow in the lower right corner of the group
Groups Collections of related Word commands

Insertion Point The upper left corner of a document where you begin creating your texts
menu a list of options
Mixed punctuation Requires a colon after the salutation and a comma after the closing
non printing characters Symbols for certain formatting commands, such as paragraphs, indents, and tabs, and spaces.
open punctuation Requires no punctuation after the salutation or the closing
preview a tool that enables users to visually check your document from errors before printing
print to send a document to a printer
quick access toolbar Located above the Ribbon, contains commands that users access
repeat This command lets you repeat your last action
ribbon Contains multiple demands on separate tabs
save a button in the quick access toolbar that auto saves documents
save as A dialogue box that will save a document in a certain format
settings An option that enables users to set document properties
