### vocab

Question | Answer |
---|---|

change | to became different. for example temperatures rise and fall prices increase and decrease and so on. In mathmatics quantities that change are called variables. |

coordinate graph | A graphical represontating of pair of related numerical values that shows the relationship between two variable. It relates the independent variable{shown on the x-axis and the dependent variable show on the y- axis |

coordinate pairs | an ordered pair of number used to locate a point on a coordinate grid. the ffirst number in a coordinate pair is the value for the x coordinate and the second number is the value for the y coordinate. |

dependent variable | one of the two variables in a relationship. Its value depends upon oris determined by the other variables called the indepent variable. |

equation formule | A rule containing variables that represent a mathmatical relationship |

independent variable | one of the two variables in a relationship. its value determines the value of the other variable called the depent varianle. if you organize a bike tour. |

pattern | a change that occurs in an predictable way. |

relationship | An associaition between tow or more variables. If one of the variable may aslo changesand the change may be predictable. |

rule | A summary of a predictable relaionship that tells how to find the value of variable. |

scale | a labeing scheme used on each of the axes on a coordinarte grid. |

symbolic form | Anything written or expressed through the use of symbos |

table | a list of values for two or more variables that shows the relationship between them. table often represnt data made experiments or from.A series of aritmetic operations |

variable | a quantily that can change letters are often used as symbols to represent variables in rules or equations that describe pattern |

x-axis | the number line that is horizontal on a coordinate grid. |

y axis | the number line that isvertical on a coordinate grid. |
