TAKS measurement

QuestionAnswer
Capacity The amount that something can hold.
Celsius is a temperature scale. It is often written as °C
centimeter is a measure of length. There are 100 centimeters in a meter.
cup A capacity measurement. It holds 8 ounces.
degree A measure for angles. There are 360 degrees in a full rotation.
elapsed time The difference between two times.
Fahrenheit is a temperature scale. It is often written as °F.
fluid ounce capacity measurement. Very small. 8 of them are in a cup.
foot 12 inches. Measures length.
gallon Capacity measurement. 4 Quarts are equal to this.
gram A metric unit of mass (weight). 1,000 ? = 1 kilogram
inch Measures length. There are 12 of them in 1 foot.
integer are all of the natural numbers and their opposites.
kilogram A Metric measure of mass. The abbreviation is kg. 1 ? = 1,000 grams
Kilometer A Metric measure of distance. Equal to 1,000 meters.
liter A Metric unit of volume. Mostly used to measure liquids. The abbreviation is L
mass Weight
meter The basic unit of length (or distance) in the Metric System.
