Term | Definition |
---|---|
Voltage | a force that pushes the current through the circuit.(in this waterfall it would be equivalent to gravity) |
Resistance | friction that impedes flow of current through the circuit (rocks in the river) |
Current | the actual"substance"that is flowing through the wires of the circuit (electrons) |
Series Circuit | all in a row, 1 path for electricity, 1 light goes out all go out and circuit is broken. |
Parallel circuit | Many paths, 1 light goes out the circuit is still going and is not broken. |
Amps | is a short word for ampere. |
Volts | The standard unit of potential difference and electromotive force. |
