What is the fluid filled sac that surrounds the heart? Pericardium
What is the outside membrane attached to the pericardium? Epicardium
What is the Myocardium? The middle layer of the heart that is responsible for the contractions of the heart muscle.
The inner layer of the heart consisting of epithelial cells is called? Endocardium
What are the upper chambers of the heart called? Atrium
The atrium receive blood into the heart from where? From Body and From lungs
The lower chambers of the heart are called what? Ventricles
Ventricles distribute blood ________ from the heart. away
Atria and ventricles are separated by partitions called? Septa(Septum)
The interarterial septum separates the right and left? Atria's
The right atria receives what from the body through two vessels? Deoxygenated blood
What two vessels carry deoxygenated blood to the atria? Superior vena cava and Inferior vena cava
What receives blood from the right atria and pumps to the lungs? Right Ventricle
Oxygenated blood enters the heart through? Left Atrium
Where is blood distributed to as the left atria contracts? Left Ventricle
