A canyon is formed by... Moving water (a river)
What is a glacier? A massive piece of ice that moves very slowly across Earth's surface

Describe weathering: When large rocks BREAK down into smaller pieces called sediments.
Explain erosion: When wind, water or ice MOVES the sediments to a new location.
Describe deposition: When sediments are dropped or laid down in a new place and begin to stack on top of each other in layers.
What does rapid mean? Very quickly or fast
What are three major causes of a landslide? Heavy rains Volcanic activity Earthquakes
What rapid change takes place when Earth's plates rub together? Earthquake
Is a volcano a rapid change or a slow change? Rapid
Water carving out the sides of a canyon wall is an example of weathering, erosion or deposition? Weathering
A river dropping sediments in a new location is an example of weathering, erosion or deposition? Deposition
