What is Photosynthetic mean? Photosynthetic describes organisms that can use carbon dioxide and energy from sunlight to produce oxygen.
What does GFP stand for? Green Fluorescent Protein.
What does Extinct mean? Describes a species that has completely died out.
How do oceans play a critical role in regulating Earth's climates and weathers? Because they absorb and release heat energy.
2 ways we depend on Earth's oceans. Most goods are transported between countries in the ocean shipping routes and there are useful resources in the ocean, like minerals.
What are estuaries? They are coastal water bodies that receive river flow and open into the ocean.
Explain what is going on with water pollution. People are putting harmful substances and chemicals to natural water.
What is over-harvesting? Harvesting a resource at an unsustainable level.
What is Global Warming? A trend of climate observed by scientists that shows average temperatures on Earth to be gradually increased.
