Routine and Antiseptic Hand-washing

QuestionAnswer
Before you prepare for your routine hand-wash you should: Put on protective eyewear and face mask, remove watch and all jewelry. Hair should be worn according to clinical protocol(up and out of your way).
Routine hand-wash: Applying soap Wet hands, apply soap, and avoid hot water. **Water should not be forceful enought to splash out of sink.Rub hands together for 15 sec; covver all surfaces of fingers, hands, and wrists. Interlace fingers and rub to cover all sides.
Routine hand-wash: Rinsing/Drying Rinse under running water; dry thoroughly with disposable towels.
Before you prepare for your Antiseptic hand-wash you should: Put on protective eyewear and face mask, remove watch and all jewelry. Hair should be worn according to clinical protocol(up and out of your way).
Antiseptic hand-wash: Applying soap Use cool water & liquid antimicrobial soap. **Water should not be forceful enough to slash out of sink.Lateral hands, wrists, & forearms quickly, rubbing vigorously, interlacing fingers & rubbing back & forth w/ pressure.
Antiseptic hand-wash: Rinsing/Drying Rinse thoroughly, fingertip to forearms.(Keep water running and repeat two times) Use paper towels for drying; be careful not to contaminate: 2 for each hand, dry hands first and then forearms(let water run off elbows).
How many times do you wash your hands when do the Antiseptic hand-wash. 3 times for 15-20 seconds
After you have done the Antiseptic hand-wash, what should you do? Put on latex-free gloves
