What are the rates of cell division? The rate of which a cell divides depends on what kind of cell it is.
What is the limit in cell size? The size limit in a cell depends on the ratio of cell surface and volume.
What is a chromosome? One long strand of DNA that contains genes and regulatory information.
Why must chromosomes condence at the start of mitosis? The chromosomes would become entangled.
What is the interphase? Provides critical timing for the duplication of organelles.
What is mitosis? "When a cell's nucleus into two genetically identical nuclei, each with its own set of DNA"

What is the process in the cell cycle? Interphase, Mitosis, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase, cytokinesis.
What is the prophase? Chromatin condence into tightly coilded chromosomes.
What is the metaphase? Spindle fibers attach to a protein structure on the centromere of each chromosome, lining them up in the middle of the cell.
What is the anaphase? "Sister chromatide separate from each other."
