Plavix (clopidogrel ) MOA inhibits platelet aggreagatoin by altering the paltetl membrane so that it can no lnger recieve the signal to aggreage and forma clot. -- better than aspirin at reducing the number of heart attacck, strokes an vasucalt death.
Plavix SE Headache, dizziness, rash
Aspirin interaction given with NSAIDS can potientate bleeding
aspirin contraindication aspirin blocks vitamin K-- can cause stomach and GI bleeding
thromboylytics ( streptokinase) break down pre-formed clots in coronary arteris to prevent a myocardial infarction
thromboylytics ( streptokinase) MOA breaks binds with plaminogen to form an SK plasminogen complex = forms plasmin= lyses the clots.
thromboylytics ( streptokinase) SE internal,intracranial, and superificial bleeding
heparin activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) 1.5-2 times the control value
