TermDefinition
Customs A way of behaving or a belief that has been established for a long time
Traditions A belief, principle, or way of acting that people in a particular society or group have continued to follow for a long time, or all of these beliefs, etc. in a particular society or group.
Culture The way of life, especially the general customs and beliefs, of a particular group of people at a particular time
Community A certain group of people living in one particular area or people who are considered as a unit because of their common interests, social group, or nationality:
Generation All the people of about the same age within a society or within a particular family
Habit Something that you do often and regularly, sometimes without knowing that you are doing it
Social Relating to society and living together in an organized way
Law A rule, usually made by a government, that is used to order the way in which a society behaves
Values The principles that help you to decide what is right and wrong, and how to act in various situations
History Past events considered together, especially events of a particular period, country, or subject
Dialect A form of a language that people speak in a particular part of a country, containing some different words and grammar, etc.
Legacy Something that is a part of your history or that remains from an earlier time
