What is the management for a temperature over 100F? Offer emotional/herbal support, electrolyte fluids, and monitor for signs of infection. (Transport if hydration doesn't work)
What is the most accurate way to take a temperature? Rectal.
What is the least accurate way to take a temperature? Ax (armpit)
Four temps taken on the same woman - 99.6, 98.6, 97.6, and 99.6. Pair with the method: ear, oral, ax, and rectal. 99.6 -- rectal & ear 98.6 -- oral 97.6 -- ax
What is the normal count for respirations per minute for an adult? 12-20
What can hyperventilation indicate? fear/anxiety, improper breathing, infections process.
What is the management for hyperventilation? Emotional/herbal support, slow breathing, breathe in a bag, monitor for signs of infection. (Transport if needed)
