What is a quotient? the result of dividing
What is an integer? any whole number; can be positive, negative, or zero (-500, 0, 1, 28)
A number is divisible by 2 if ____. It's even (i.e. its last digit is even)
A number is divisible by 3 if ____. Its digits add up to a multiple of 3.
A number is divisible by 4 if ____. Its last two digits are divisible by 4.
A number is divisible by 5 if ____. Its last digit is 5 or 0.
A number is divisible by 6 if ____. It's even and its digits add up to a multiple of 3.
A number is divisible by 8 if ____. Its last three digits are divisible by 8.
A number is divisible by 9 if ____. Its digits add up to a multiple of 9.
A number is divisible by 12 if ____. Its digits add up to a multiple of 3 and its last two digits are divisible by 4.
When it comes to long equations, in what order should the problem be solved? PEMDAS- Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction.
If given a percent, turn it into a fraction by ____. Putting the number over 100. For example 40% is 40/100.
In mathematical problems the word 'of' should be changed to ____. x (times)
In mathematical problems the word 'what' should be changed to ____. x, y, or z (a variable)
In mathematical problems the words 'is', 'are', 'was', and 'were' should be changed to ____. = (equals)
What is the formula for a percent increase? Percent increase or decrease = (difference/original) x 100 The difference is what you get when you subtract the smaller number from the larger number.
