Atropine MECHANISM OF ACTION Parasympatholytic. Increases HR in life threatening bradyarrhythmias.
Atropine INDICATIONS Hemodynamically unstable Bradycardia, Asystole, Bradycardic PEA, Organophosphate poisoning.
Atropine CONTRAINDICATIONS Tachycardia, Hypersensitivity, MI, narrow-angle glaucoma.
Atropine ADVERSE REACTIONS HA, dizziness, Palpitations, Tachycardia, arrhythmias, paradoxical Bradycardia when pushed slowly or at low doses, flushed, hot, dry skin, N/V.
Atropine NOTES ON ADMINISTRATION Moderate doses may cause pupil dilation.
Atropine INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS Potential adverse effects when administered with digoxin, cholinergics, physostigmine.
Atropine DOSE/ROUTE ADULT Asystole and Bradycardic PEA 1mg IV/IO push may repeat every 3-5 minutes up to 3 doses.
Atropine DOSE/ROUTE ADULT Unstable Bradycardia 0.5 mg IV/IO every 3-5 minutes not to exceed 3mg total.
Atropine DOSE/ROUTE ADULT Organophosphate Poisoning Extremely large doses (2-4mg or higher)
Atropine DOSE/ROUTE PEDEATRIC 0.02 mg/kg IV/IO push. May double for second dose. Minimum single dose is 0.1 mg. Maximum single dose in child is 0.5mg. Child total dose, 1mg.

Oxytocin ADVERSE REACTIONS Hypotension, hypertension, tachycardia, arrhythmias, angina, anxiety, sz, N/V, uterine rupture.
Oxytocin NOTES ON ADMINISTRATION Monitor vital signs and uterine tone closely.
Oxytocin INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS Other vasopressors might potentiate hypertension.

Lorazepam MECHANISM OF ACTION Anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, and sedative effects, by binding with benzodiazepine receptors and enhancing the effects of GABA.
Lorazepam INDICATIONS Initial control of status epilepticus or severe recurrent seizures, severe anxiety, sedation.
Lorazepam CONTRAINDICATIONS Acute narrow angle glaucoma. Coma, shock, or suspected drug abuse.
Lorazepam ADVERSE REACTIONS apnea, drowsiness, sedation, ataxia, psychomotor impairment, confusion, restlessness, hypotension, Bradycardia.
Lorazepam NOTES ON ADMINISTRATION Inadvertent arterial injection may result in vasospasm and gangrene.
Lorazepam INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS May precipitate CNS depression if patient already on CNS depressant medications.
Lorazepam DOSE/ROUTE Adult 2-4mg slow IV or IM. May repeat in 15-20 minutes to a max of 8mg.
Lorazepam DOSE/ROUTE Pediatric 0.05-0.20 mg/kg slow IV/IO over 2 minutes or IM. May repeat in 15-20 minutes to a max dose of 0.2 mg/kg
