Spleen Channel

The Spleen Channel of the Foot Tai Yin

TermDefinition
SP 1 on the medial side of the great toe, 0.1 cun to the corner of the nail
SP 2 on the medial side of the great toe, anterior and inferior to the 1st metatarso-phalangeal joint, at the junction of the red and white skin
SP 3 at the medial aspect of the foot, posterior and inferior to the head of the 1st metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin
SP 4 in the depression distal and inferior to the base of the 1st metatarsal bone, at the junction of the red and white skin
SP 5 draw a straight line along the anterior and the inferior border of the medial malleolus respectively. The point is where the lines cross.
SP 6 3 cun directly above the tip of medial malleolus, on the posterior border of the medial aspect of the tibia
SP 7 3 cun in the depression above SP 6 at the posterior border of the tibia
SP 8 3 cun below SP 9 on the line connecting SP 9 and medial malleolus
SP 9 on the lower border of the medial condyle of the tibia, in the depression on the medial border of the tibia
SP 10 when knee is flexed, the point is 2 cun above the mediosuperior border of the patella, on the bulge of the medial portion of . quadriceps femoris
SP 11 6 cun above SP 10, on the line drawn from SP 10 to SP 12
SP 12 superior to the lateral end of the inguinal groove, lateral to the pulsating external iliac artery, at the level of the upper border of symphysis, 3.5 cun lateral to REN 2
SP 13 4 cun below the center of the umbilicus, 0.7 cun superior to SP 12, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 14 1.3 cun below ST 15, 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline, on the lateral side of m. rectus abdominis
SP 15 4 cun lateral to the center of the umbilicus, lateral to m. rectus abdominis
SP 16 3 cun above the center of umbilicus and 4 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 17 in the 5th intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 18 in the 4th intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 19 in the 3rd intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 20 in the second intercostal space, 6 cun lateral to the anterior midline
SP 21 on the mid-axillary line, 6 cun below the axilla, between the axilla and the free end of the 11th rib
