Lasix MECHANISM OF ACTION Inhibits electrolyte reabsorption and promotes excretion of sodium, potassium, chloride.
Lasix INDICATIONS CHF, Pulmonary edema, hypertensive crisis.
Lasix CONTRAINDICATIONS Hypovolemia, hypersensitivity to sulfonamides.
Lasix ADVERSE REACTIONS orthostatic hypotension, Hypokalemia, ECG changes, vertigo, weakness
Lasix NOTES ON ADMINISTRATION Ototoxicity and deafness can occur with rapid administration.
Lasix INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS Lithium toxicity may be potentiated by sodium depletion. Digitalis toxicity may be potentiated by potassium depletion.

AMIODARONE ADVERSE REACTIONS Hypotension, bradycardia
AMIODARONE INCOMPATABILITIES/DRUG INTERACTIONS Beta blockers, and calcium channel blockers may potentiate Bradycardia, sinus arrest and av heart blocks.
AMIODARONE ADULT DOSE/ROUTE for V-fib and pulseless V-Tach 300mg IV/IO. May repeat at 150mg in 3-5 minutes
AMIODARONE PEDS DOSE/ROUTE for V-fib and pulseless V-Tach 5mg/kg (max dose 300mg) may repeat up to 2 times.
AMIODARONE ADULT DOSE/ROUTE for relatively stable pt’s with arrhythmias like PVC’s or wide complex tachycardia with a strong pulse 150mg in 100ml of D5W over 10 min.
AMIODARONE PEDS DOSE/ROUTE for relatively stable pt’s with arrhythmias like PVC’s or wide complex tachycardia with a strong pulse 5mg/kg over 20 min.
AMIODARONE ONSET OF ACTION Immediate
AMIODARONE PEAK EFFECTS 15 min.
