adaptation | inherited traits and learned behaviors that help animals survive |

inherited trait | a characteristic that is passed from parents to their offspring |
learned behavior | a behavior that an animal develops by observing other animals |
life cycle | series of stages a living organism goes through as it grows, develops, and matures |
landform | a natural land shape on Earth’s surface |
