TermDefinition
Angle Two rays that share an endpoint.
Attribute A characteristic of an object, such as color, shape, size, etc.
Congruent The same shape and size.
Kite A quadrilateral with two distinct pairs of equal adjacent sides. A kite-shaped figure.
Parallel lines Lines that are always the same distance apart.
Parallelogram A quadrilateral with 2 pairs of parallel and congruent sides.
Properties A character or quality that something has. Such as how many sides, color, height, weight, etc.
Quadrilateral A polygon with 4 sides.
Rectangle A quadrilateral with 2 pairs of equal, parallel sides and 4 right angles.
Rhombus A quadrilateral with all 4 sides equal in length.
Right Angle An angle that forms a square corner.
Side One of the line segments that makes a polygon.
Square A parallelogram with 4 equal angles AND 4 equal sides.
Trapezoid A quadrilateral with 1 pair of parallel sides and 1 pair of sides that are not parallel.
Vertex The point where sides of a shape or angles meet. (more than one is called vertices)
