Right Atrium Receives oxygen poor blood from the Vena Cava and sends into the right ventricle through tricuspid valve.
Right Ventricle Pumps oxygen poor blood towards the lungs through the pulmanry artery.
Left Atrium Receives oxygen rich blood from the lungs and pulmonary vein and passes it through the mitral valve to left ventricle.
Left Ventricle Pumps oxygen rich blood out to the body through the Aorta
Inferior Vena Cava Brings oxygen poor blood from bottom of body back to heart.
Superior Vena Cava Brings oxygen poor blood from top of body back to heart.
Pulmonary Vein. brings oxygen rich blood from lungs to heart.
Pulmonary Artery Carries oxygen poor blood from heart to lungs.
Aorta Carries oxygen rich blood from the heart to the rest of the body.
Bloods Role Supplies oxygen to our tissues Supplies nutrients such as glucose and amino acids to body Removes wast from body such as carbon dioxide and lactic acid Helps to regulate our body temperature
Platelets Used in body to stop bleeding.
Red Blood Cells Contains hemoglobin which allows oxygen to be carried in cells and removes carbon dioxide.
White Blood Cells Fights diseases by removing pathogens from our body.
