What is physical fitness? Having sound health, strength, and endurance, which sustain emotional health and conceptual abilities under prolonged stress
What is confidence? able to demonstrate composure and outward calm through steady control over emotion.
What is resilience? Showing a tendency to recover quickly from setbacks, shock, injuries, adversity, and stress while maintaining a mission and organizational focus.
What are the three core domains that shape the critical learning experiences throughout Soldiers' and leaders' careers? Institutional training. Training, education, and job experience gained during operational assignments. Self-development.
What are the Leader Actions? Influencing - getting Soldiers to do what is necessary. Operating - actions taken to influence soldiers to accomplisgh the mission. Improving - acting on important lessons of projects and mission learned.
What are the three levels of leadership? Direct Organizational Strategic
Army Values? Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity, Personal Courage
What are the attributes of an Army leader? Character, presence, intellectual capacity
What are the core leader competencies? Leads, develops, achieves
Why must army leaders introduce stress into training? Stress resembles effects of real battlefield and is essential to victory in combat.
What are intended and unintended consequences? Intended consequences are anticipated results of a leaders decisions. Unintended consequences arise from unplanned events that affects the mission.
What is communication? Provides access to information

What are the 7 steps to problem solving? ID the problem, gather info, develop criteria, generate solutions, analyze solutions, compare solutions, implement decision
What is reverse planning? Technique used to ensure that a concept leads to the intended end state.
To assess subordinates, leaders must... (4 items) Observe and record performance; determine if standards were met; inform sub what was observed and provide op to comment; create individual development plan to improve performance
