Stereotypics Characteristics of RHS insentive to others, oblivious to social content. unware of physical mental limitations, verbose. insenstive to the meaning of abstract or implied material. cant grasp significance of complex events. cant maintain attention. lack emotional inflection.
Perceptual Impairment (denial of illness) Denies illness. Range varies: los-moderate acknowledge disbaility but is indiffirentsevere: ignores existence of major disabilities no interested in rehabilitation
Perceptual impairment ( left hemispatial neglect) neglect everything of left side. fail to respond to sound only does right side activities dont use left arm even though it is ok. read and write only of right side.
Constructional Impairment cant draw copy or create designs. leaves out left side details.
Visuoupercetual impairment cant identify pictures object if its distorted or changed from original. only can identify simple clear.
Facial recognition deficits cant recognise familiar faces but yes to smell or voice. cant distinguish opposites.
Emotion dont know how to handle emotional cues. inappropaite expression of emotions. robotic flat.
Attention cant focus or maintain attention very distractible. cant understant what is important or not.
Communication impairments monotone speech sound slow rate no gestures rambles speech,irrelevant material cant stick to a topic cant establish relationships among events. difficulty with implied meaning cant go beyond literal or understand abstract,jokes no turn takin eye contact
