CONE A solid in which the bottom or base is a circle, curved lines narrowing to a point at the top.
MAGMA CHAMBER Large underground pool of liquid rock found beneath the surface of the Earth.
EXPLODE To erupt energetically; to move or act suddenly and quickly with force.
VIOLENTLY Intense in force, effect, etc.; severe; extreme.
SHIELD VOLCANO Type of volcano usually built almost entirely of fluid magma flows.
MAUNA LOA The wold's largest volcano.
ACTIVE Currently in eruption or likely to erupt.
DORMANT Not erupting.
EXTINCT No longer active.
