job career an occupation undertaken for a significant period of a person's life and with opportunities for progress.
standard of living the degree of wealth and material comfort available to a person or community.
trends a general direction of change : a way of behaving, proceeding, etc., that is developing and becoming more common.
potential earning power is a business's ability to generate profit from conducting its operations.
aptitudes a natural ability to do something or to learn something.
interest inventories are tests that help you identify the activities you enjoy the most.
demographic trends A popular term for any measurable change in the characteristics of a population over time—e.g., increased or decreased concentration of a particular ethnic group, sex ratio, etc.
Geographic trends are tendencies of people moving from one area of the
service industries businesses that provide services for free.
internship a position in which a person receives training by working with people who are experienced in a particular.
cooperative education is a structured method of combining classroom-based education with practical work experience.
networking interact with other people to exchange information and develop contacts, especially to further one's career.
informationl interview a meeting in which a potential job seeker seeks advice on their career, the industry, and the corporate culture of a potential future workplace.
resume begin to do or pursue (something) again after a pause or interruption.
cover letter a letter sent with, and explaining the contents of, another document or a parcel of goods.
cafeteria - style employee benefits program that allow workers to choose the benefits that best meet their personal needs.
pension plan which is a retirement plan that is funded at least in party by an employer.
mentor an experienced and trusted adviser.
