What part of the kidney does ADH affect? The permeability of the collecting duct
How does ADH specifically effect a cell in the kidney? By attatching itself to a receptor protein in the membrane of the cell?
What 2 types of receptor molecules are found in phospholipid membranes of cells? Glycoproteins and Glycolipids
Plant hormones are also known as..? Plant growth regulators
What control symstem do hormones use? Negative Feedback
What are target cells? The particular group of cells a hormone will effect.
What do you spray on the fruit to make it drop off? ethanol
If the apex is cut on a plant what will happen? lateral meristems will grow
What does a hormone have to attach to, to travel across a phospholipid bi layer? receptor (glycoprotein)
What is homeostasis? A vital function is to maintain a stable internal envoronment.
What does abscisic acid do? Shuts the stomata as it inhibits proton, when in extreme weather conditions
