TermDefinition
Profile The shape of something that is seen against a background.
Extrude Creates a 3D solid from an object that encloses an area.
Revolve Creates a 3D solid or surface by sweeping an object around an axis.
Taper To make gradually smaller toward one end.
Axis The line about which a rotating body, such as the earth, turns.
Linear Of, consisting of, or using lines.
Lofting Creates a 3D solid or surface by specifying a series of cross sections. The cross sections define the shape of the resulting solid or surface. You must specify at least two cross sections.
Interloping An act of intrusion or encroachment.
Sweep Creates a 3D solid or 3D surface by sweeping a 2D object or subobject along an open or closed path.
Path A track specially constructed for a particular use.
Shell Convert a 3D solid to a hollow wall, or shell.
Helix or Coil Creates a 2D spiral or 3D spring.
Fillet Rounds and fillets the edges of objects.
Chamfer Bevels or chamfers the edges of two 2D objects or the adjacent faces of a 3D solid.
Array Creates copies of objects arranged in a pattern. You can create copies of objects in a regularly spaced rectangular, polar, or path array.
