Indian Ocean 3rd largest ocean. East of Africa. South of India.
Indus River Starts in Himalayas.Flows mostly through Pakistan.
Taklamakan Desert Northwest China. Between 2 mountains. Has sand dunes.
Himalayan Mountains North India. Highest mountain region. Has Mount Everest (highest mountain peak).
Ganges River Fertile land (farmable). Densely populated (a lot of people). Sacred/holy river to Hindu religion. Water pollution. Causes- chemical crop fertilizers, human waste, bathing, dead bodies and animals.
Bay of Bengal East of India. Ganges River flows into it.
Mekong River Flows through China & Vietnam and is the twelfth longest river in the world
Gobi Desert Coldest desert in the world. Asia’s largest sand desert. North China. East of Taklamakan Desert.
Huang He River Below the Gobi desert. . River on top. Empties into the Yellow Sea. Floods a lot.
Yangtze River Longest river in China. 400 million people live here. Provides power, irrigation, & transportation for cargo ships. Water pollution.
South China Sea South of China. East of Vietnam. Violent monsoons (strong winds that cause floods & water borne disease).
Yellow Sea Between China and Korea. Used for transportation.
Korean Peninsula Between Yellow Sea & Sea of Japan. Land surrounded by water on 3 sides. Divided into North & South Korea in 1948.
Sea of Japan Between Asia & Japan. East of Korean Peninsula.
