Cone A 3-d figure with one curved surface, one flat surface(usually circular), one curved edge and one vertex
Volume The number of cubic units it takes to fill a figure
Pythagorean Theorem The sum of the square of the lengths of the legs of a right triangle is equal to the square of the length of the hypotenuse
Leg In a right triangle, one of the two sides that form the right angle
Interior Angle An angle on the inside of a polygon
Hypotenuse The longest side of a right triangle
Face A plane figure that serves as one side of a solid figure
Exterior Angle An angle on the out side of a polygon
Dimensions The lengths of a geometric figure/ The number of coordinates needed to locate a point in space
Base of a Solid Figure A plane figure. If the solid is a cylinder or prism, there are two bases that are parallel and congruent
Area The measure, in square units, of the interior region of a 2-d figure or the surface of a 3-d figure

Right Triangle A triangle that has one 90° angle
Quadrilateral A four-sided polygon
Pyramid A polyhedron whose base is a polygon and whose other faces are triangle that share a common vertex
Perpendicular Lines forming right angles
Surface Area The total area of the faces(including bases) and curved surfaces of a solid figure
Cylinder A 3-d figure with two parallel and congruent circles as bases, one curved surface , two curved edges and no verticals
