Term | Definition |

Condensation | Water that collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it. |
Evaporation | When water turns into molecules. |
Condensation | Is the change of water from its gaseous form (water vapor) into liquid water. |
Groundwater | Water held underground in the soil or in pores and crevices in rock. |
High Pressure | A whirling mass of cool, dry air that generally brings fair weather and light winds. |
Low Pressure | A whirling mass of warm, moist air that generally brings stormy weather with strong winds. |
Water Cycle | Is the journey water takes as it circulates from the land to the sky and back again. |
Tempreture | The measurement of how hot or cold something is. |
Run-Off | The part of the water cycle that flows over land as surface water instead of being absorbed into groundwater or evaporating. |
Water Vapor | Is one of the greenhouse gases, which help to trap the earth's heat. |
Current | a body of water or air moving in a definite direction, especially through a surrounding body of water or air in which there is less movement. |

Coriolis Effect | an effect whereby a mass moving in a rotating system experiences a force (the Coriolis force ) acting perpendicular to the direction of motion and to the axis of rotation. |
Upwelling | a rising of seawater, magma, or other liquid. |
Salinity | is a measure of how much salt is dissolved in water. |
El Nino | an irregularly occurring and complex series of climatic changes affecting the equatorial Pacific region and beyond every few years, characterized by the appearance of unusually warm, nutrient-poor water off northern Peru and Ecuador. |
